Games Venues


Investments in sport and recreation infrastructure will enhance existing and support emerging provincial programs that help keep us healthy and active:

  • Since 2006, more than $634 million has been directed to 1,100 sport and recreation projects from walking and biking paths to pools and arenas, and
  • Hosting the Games will bring a more than $700 million investment in building and improving sport and recreations facilities and for a Sport Legacy Fund in the Greater Golden Horseshoe region.  

The excitement surrounding the Games aims to inspire sport participation at all skill levels – from beginner to high performance athlete aspiring to achieve podium greatness.

Canada's fastest growing community will soon be home to one of the fastest growing sports in the country with the construction of a world-class indoor velodrome, the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games Organizing Committee (TO2015) announced today.

TO2015 unveils new stadium for Hamilton, host of Pan Am soccer

Hamilton's storied Ivor Wynne Stadium will rise again as a state-of-the-art sport legacy to Steel Town, the sole host of soccer competitions during the upcoming Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games, officials confirmed today.

Welland International Flatwater Centre has been proposed as the site of the 2015 Pan American Canoe and Kayak Sprint events. The facility is set in 411 acres of parkland and 272 acres of water. It is a training ground for Olympians and Pan American athletes in canoe, kayak, dragonboat and triathlon.
