Champions of the 2007 Games:

Canada walked away from the 2007 Pan Am Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with 39 gold, 44 silver and 55 bronze medals.  Gold medallists from Ontario include:

  • Alexandra Orlando (Toronto) rhythmic gymnastics
  • Karen Cockburn (North York), women’s individual trampoline
  • Adam Kunkel (Walkerton), men’s 400m hurdles 
  • Jessica Zelinka (London), women’s heptathlon 
  • Angus Mortimer (Ottawa), men’s K-1, 1000m canoe 
  • Chris Jarvis (Grimsby), men’s pair rowing 
  • Scott Dickens (Burlington), men’s 100m breaststroke
